For anyone who has ever been on a vacation to Cancun this scenario may be familiar,
After a hectic morning at the airport and having to wait what seemed like endless hours to go through all those security check points, you rest comfortably in your seat on a flight bound to paradise, while sipping a drink and thinking of the incredible week that you have ahead of you without any worries you can almost taste that Margarita you´ll have lying on the beach, before you know it the plane has landed and you are ready to strip of your winter clothes and slip into a bathing suit to start your long awaited vacation.
You get off the plane with a smile on your face as you watch your family getting excited for being there, You go through inmigration and customs which sometimes may take up to a couple of hours, you´re tired and jetlagged but glad that the ordeal is finally over you cross the glass door that separates customs from the rest of the airport with only one thing in your
mind getting to your hotel, when you´re aproached by either a man or a woman wearing a dress shirt and a tie who is asking you either if you have a transportation voucher, or which hotel you´ll be staying at, once you´ve answered what he needs to know (which is basically wether or not you meet the qualifications he's looking for, specially the name of your hotel) he will do one of two things
1) If you do not meet their qualifications they will either let you through in case that you do not meet anyone´s qualifications, or they will refer you to one of their colleagues from a different hotel for whom you may qualify.
2) But If you meet his or her qualifications she or he will ask you to follow them telling you that they are going to show you where to get your transportation which means that you´ve just been hooked by an airport OPC (FYI OPC is the abreviation for Outside Personal Contact, they are paid to lure people into hardcore Timeshare Pesentations), And that is when the ordeal really begins.
To be continued
