About me:

Hello All,

Nice to meet you ~

My name is Sei, a 28 years old first officer or co-pilot (that's what most people call us by) working for Japan Airline (JAL) on its international line. I fly mostly Boeing 747-400 and 767-300 and due to my work and I've also had the experience of working with Air Canada and United in the past. I've enjoyed the liberty of travelling around world throughout my 5-6 years of duty. I've now been to 27 countries and 56 cities. Some of my favorite places are

Asia: Taipei (Taiwan), Nagasaki (Japan), Hanoi (Vietnam), Shanghai (China)

Europe: Paris (France), Prague (Czech Republic), Frankfurt (Germany), Rome (Italy), Venice (Italy)

North America: New York (USA), Montreal (Canada), Cancun (Mexico), Vancouver (Canada)

As I've discovered that many people around me, particularly young men in their early 20s, share a keen interest in wanting to become a pilot and enjoy the lifestyle full-time travellers, I've decided to start posting blogs and articles that tailor peoples' questions about this industry. In addition, as I've received a large portion of my training in North America, I am quite familiar with the standards and requirement, as well as strengths and weaknesses of the North American, European, and Asian training systems. I would be tremendously happy to share with everyone the fun of this job, the tips on how to get here, and finally a detailed depiction of the life in the sky. I would also be glad to answer any questions, or perhaps, rectify any misconceptions that people have concerning anything related to airplanes.

In short, whether you're just peeking around to see if this is the right job for you, whether you're a traveller wondering about how to manage your seating plan to survive a long flight, or whether you've already received your PPL or CPL and are seeking advice to accumulate your hours in the fastest ways or hoping to land on a solid job, please feel free to read my articles, or even drop me a message. I'll be sure to answer to those calls and provide you with the best possible answers.

Lastly, I've also had a number of interesting experiences through my years of observation of some of the most amazing cultural traditions and sites around the world, and I'll be happy to share with everyone some interesting tips on how to plan your vacation - how to avoid the crowd, what to see, what to eat, and how to tip. As how I see it, life is all about living up to one's fullest passion and extent, and if I may, I'd be glad to be a part of your amazing lives.
